Tatum Oliver Drives 5 Runners Home In Wakefield Varsity Warriors Victory Over Falls Church

Tatum Oliver drove in five runs on three hits to lead Wakefield Varsity Warriors past Falls Church 15-5 on Monday. Oliver doubled in the first scoring two, hit a sacrifice fly in the second scoring one, singled in the third scoring one, and singled in the fifth scoring one.

Wakefield Varsity Warriors got on the board in the top of the first inning after Oliver doubled, scoring two runs, Reece Wilder singled, scoring one run, and Elle Edens singled, scoring two runs.

Wakefield Varsity Warriors added one run in the second after Oliver hit a sacrifice fly.

Wakefield Varsity Warriors scored five runs on five hits in the top of the third inning. Julia Mitzen doubled, scoring three runs, Lucy Strawn singled, scoring one run, and Oliver singled, scoring one run.

Kayla Keefe took the loss for Falls Church. The hurler went five innings, surrendering 15 runs (10 earned) on 14 hits, striking out two and walking four. Karis Lee pitched two innings of zero-run ball for Wakefield Varsity Warriors in relief. The pitcher gave up one hit, striking out five and walking one.

Wakefield Varsity Warriors amassed 14 hits in the game. Oliver and Strawn were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for Wakefield Varsity Warriors. Wilder collected two hits for Wakefield Varsity Warriors in three at bats. Wakefield Varsity Warriors turned one double play in the game.
